Hi All

I''ll soon be doing a Locksmith course & was wondering if anyone could recommend any good Lockmith books. I just wanted to get some information before I start the course

Cheers

I'm going to Australia to study Security Engineering on a 2 year course. Included in the course is locksmithing, so thats why I just wanted a heads up... ie; different locks & tools

Nice one. The types of locks encountered will depend on the county - eg here in the UK the mortice lock is king. Australia, I think, are mostly cylinders, same as Spain/France - but usually a higher grade than over here.

The Complete Book of Locks and Locksmithing (Bill Phillips), and Locksmithing from apprentice to master (Joseph E Rathjen) are a good read for an overview on lock technology.

lol yeah I've done that. My library's so bad they wasn't even in there. I've found them on Amazon
