The manual dial timer on my Lofra has broken and now the main oven won't come on at all. Any ideas on if it could be bypassed so that I can operate the oven and forget about the timer as i can't find anybody interested in fixing it!

You might have a bit of a problem getting anything made by Lofra fixed in the UK now - the UK re-selling arm folded. Looking at their web-site now though (which was down for some time) there is some information for spares and service, and it seems that someone else has picked up the contract:
Hi
I am interested to know whether you got the timer issue fixed?
The timer on our Lofra MXUD76MFE broke about 2 months after the 12 month warranty ran out.
Being a bit of a fiddler i took the top off the cooker to access the timer (not that difficult) when i ispected the timer i was astonished that it had lasted the 14 months it had such was the quality of it.
The timer was easy to set to ensure the cooker worked but unserviceable to restore the timer mechanism.
I thought given that it was such a cheap looking part (even allowing for the exorbitant price of parts) it would be worth replacing.
came up against the same as "c128 - posting 19/10 initially.
Then came across the new appointed distributor - Premier Appliance Brands - based in Warrington (01925 248980)
They gave me a part No of 03010631 but didn't have stock and initially could not give me a price. i left it a couple of weeks and rang back this week.
They quoted £77 - needless to say i didn't order it
