Loft access, purlin adaption?

The brace in photo's 3 and 4, is fixed to a 4 x 3 that sits on a wall plate one end, and the load bearing wall across the centre of the house. Having looked closely, the point where I would make the 2nd cut, the brace will only make contact over a partition wall, between the bathroom and back bedroom. (Think traditional semi layout).
I did read up regards the windows which was where my first idea gained momentum, but that purlin is connected well enough to the ones across the front and back of the roof to make me think now, best leave alone
. Maybe it would be viable with a 200 tear old cottage and shed loads of money?
I know I'm going to have to double up joists and headers to put it elsewhere, as my ceiling joists run perpendicular onto the wall. I think in the bedroom parallel to the wall, is favourite.
(Mrs F. wouldn't like the ladder coming down onto the bed)
