Hi All,
I have a query which I hope will be able to assist me.
I live in a converted Victorian, which has one flat upstairs and one below which I live in. We both share the freehold.
The neighbour upstairs is putting in a loft conversion which we have agreed to.
On the back section of the roof there is a chimney which is connected to our fireplace and would like to keep. Though with the extension, the upstairs neighbour has said it now needs to be raised, lined etc. and has said we are responsible for this cost.
Is this true, I would have thought on a common sense approach he would be responsible as is changing the layout of the property?
Many thanks for your assistance.
