howdy,a joiner buddy of mine has excess kingspan thermapitch/thermafloor on his site, wondering could it be used in a metal/timber stud wall ? ps great forum+my first post.

if it is rigid insulation and you are putting it in the stud voids for acoustic purposes, then no.

they are rigid boards 8#4,not bothered about sound insulation, just thermal, you think they would be ok.

thermal, definitely yes. if you are building between a very cold space and a heated one, then a vapour barrier under the plasterboard may be wise.

consider it snapped up ! 30 sheets 50mm+20 sheets 35mm all 8#4 foil front and back, surely vapour barrier not needed as its going onto inside perimeter walls that are not cold, gonna put the 35mm onto party walls and the 50mm on the rest,upstairs/downstairs,havent decided on timber or metal stud yet,any other suggestions much appreciated, thanks lads.
