I live in a 1966 brick built semi. I want to board the floor of my loft for storage purposes. We have ceiling hangers that I dare not remove due to concerns over sagging and so I will need to board around them.
I bought one trial pack of T&G chipboard panels from B&Q but didn't like them and now I think I might use pine floorboards instead - easier to cut without "crumbling" and narrower, therefore easier to shape around the ceiling hangers which, incidentally, measure about 1 inch square.
Anyone know of any "watch-outs" with a floorboarded loft approach? I did wonder if they might weigh more than chipboard panels and cause a problem?
