Hello all, just planning next step with my Dads loft.

At the moment it's completely gutted and insulation free..

What thickness Kingspan is recommended for lofts?. I'd rather lay it across the top of the joists if possible, can fill the ends in near the eaves if required.

Just trying to price up next stage really.

Wouldn't wool insulation be massively cheaper and easier to install?
I think as a general rule, 30cm wool insulation is suggested, which would mean about 15cm kingspan. That's going to be expensive!

Any benefits coming into the house? Still a few freebies available.

Couldn't you have used all the feathers and twigs you took out?:D

I'd lob in wool insulation, lot cheaper for same net gain.
