Loft insulation

Hi I inherited a loft that has insulation between the joists it was boarded over. Celotex has been put on top with more boards over that. In terms of insulation is this ok or do k need to pull it all out and start again? The lost is used as storage so also full of boxes

Hi I’m having a loft ladder put in amd a better fitting loft hatch as ours as gaps around it. The loft person mentioned what I have was unusual and most people have the fibre stuff with raised boards over that I was just curious for a second opinion as I suspected I was being upsold on the job

Sounds ok, but what thickness of each insulation do you have?

The insulation is whatever depth the joists are then the celotex I think is 50mm
