I WANT A COUPLE OF FLURESCENT LIGHTS IN MY LOFT LINKED TO A TIMER. I HAVE NO POWER IN THE LOFT SO COULD I WIRE A SMALL EXTENSION LEAD FROM THE LIGHTING CIRCUIT TO A PLUG SOCKET SO THAT I COULD THEN PLUG THE LIGHTS INTO A PLUG IN TIMER SWITCH?

Naughty naughty...

You might find it easier to run an extension lead from one of the sockets under the loft, especially if your lighting circuit is near to its full capacity already.
Just don't trip over the lead after you've been sampling yer "tomatoes"... 8)
