A bit of background I'm going to spur off the cable running to a double socket on my landing using a wago box, that feeds a FCU and then a double socket.

I've done this before, but never in a loft.

My question is what is the best place to place a socket? It's only powering an amp and a plug in light.

A) On one of the ceiling timbers, in which case is it best practice to use trunking for the cable or is fixing the cable back down to the wagobox sufficient?

B) Or would it beacceptable to fit on the floor where the loft is boarded and feed the cable in from below?

Thanks in advance.

You can fit the socket wherever you like. Wiring needs to be run as anywhere else.
It needs to be installed and secured as necessary. Can be clipped to joists or through conduit or trunking. Whatever.
