Hi all I'm looking for a couple of floor lights that will be set into tiles (internally) either side of a home entrance doorway. The distance from floor to ceiling is 5.4 meters.

I've been recommended the following https://www.dmlights.com/absinthe_exo_led_11w___24v_dv_stainless_steel~07ZWF due to the reach and beam angle.

I think these are a bit on the pricey side and wondered what alternatives there maybe?

Are there gu10 bulbs that would provide the beam angle and reach?

Any thoughts or help would be great.

Many thanks.

Thanks guys, I'm no expert tbh so unsure if 9w would be enough or not. I'll send them a message and find our how tight the beam is..

Any others to consider please let me know. Cheers, Devs.

Ha, its feature lighting either side of an entrance way. If you look to the right of the door they you can see one of the points for a light they will be fitting into tiles..

Yes - I gathered where they would be, but what's the main purpose of them?

To light up a small circle on the ceiling several metres above people's heads, or to temporarily blind anybody who looks down while using the door?

Hi it would be to light the sides and above area without too much spill. They were in place prior to me. Buying and would like to make use of the switching and wiring that's already in place.

Any further insights ban-all-sheds?

Simple geometry?

If you want them to shine a light on the walls, the beam needs to spread out. If you have a narrow beam 'without too much spill' then it won't hit the walls until it gets quite a way up.

Thanks do you know of any cheaper alternatives to the ones that I posted or are there gu10 bulbs that would provide the beam angle and reach?

Many thanks.
