My sister's looking for a back-to-wall toilet pan but with a close-coupled cistern. Other than that, nothing fancy/designerish as it wants to age gracefully and doesn't want to cost a bomb! Her hubby won't let me pop a concealed cistern in as "What he can't see will leak!"......

Of course, I'm trying to persuade her to get something which is 'close' to back-to-wall as I'm gonna have to fit the damn thing!

Thoughts?

I think you mean a low level cistern. If its a close coupled pan it will need a close coupled cistern :?

Quite -
a back to wall pan goes against the wall.
A close coupled pan goes against a pan!
Ideal Space pans can be used for either, with an elbow, and might solve whatever the problem is.
Brother in law can either trust you that you'll make it not leak or friggin do it himself!

No, I deffo mean a close coupled cistern/pan but the pan need to 'look' like a back to wall - so the soil pipe is totally enclosed by the sides of the pan.

Maybe I should call it a "Back to wall pan with an exposed close coupled cistern".

A bit like ebay item 220125029127 but with the sides of the pan straight down & not curved........

Hah! & regards the Brother-in-law... As he spent money on a Masterflush [or some such flapper valve] & 50 years of spares, he insists I get a cistern where the old fitting can be used!

I'm tempted to tell sister to slip me the £20 & I'll buy the bloody thing off of him to make life easy!

I know....I know....never do work for friends and family!
