My 20 year old corded Bosch AHS 480 - 24T has started to make a clacking noise, seemingly being caused by the blade appearing to be loose/bouncy where the blade enters into the motor body. Is this a DIY repairable situation or is it now knackered?

Thanks

Best to take the sole plate off the machine for a look see - but I doubt if spares are available now.
You'll probably find a sea of old grease and swarf.......if there's swarf it's time to say goodbye I'm afraid.
John :)

Many thanks. John - probably time for a switch to cordless to save making any more of the many re cabling connections this machine's suffered. Fortunately. I've two Makita batteries for my electric wheelbarrow and chain saw.
