Hi

just bought a flat and its all wooden block floors.
Lots of them are loose and wobbly when you walk across them.

Is there something I could put between these blocks to fix them in place?
Would a straighforward wood glue do the job or is there something better?

cheers..

How old is the flat? Best guess the wood blocks have been installed using bitumen. That has gone brittle now, loosing it's grip between blocks and underfloor. Is you solve one place, another place will become 'loose' pretty soon too.
Best long-term option: remove the floor, clean off the bitumen from blocks and underfloor. Re-install with modern parquet adhesive.
