I bought a new 3-piece heavy-duty wrench set as follows; Products (silverlinetools.com)

The 3 of them all have loose jaws. Are they meant to be loose? I've only had a small wrench which does not have any sort of looseness in the jaw.

Thanks.

The fact that they are a cheap brand will probably be the cause.
Spend abit more money to buy a more premium set and you will see the difference :D
(Try Bahco ones)

So they're not meant to be a bit loose in the jaw?

Cheap ones are always made to lower tolerances, but Silverline are notoriously poor quality.

Bahco are the reverse, but you'd need deep pockets.

And you can/ used to be able to buy parts for Bahco`s

Yes you can but you will hardly need to,I’ve been using them for donkeys years and I use mine every single day.
I certainly wouldn’t buy anything else
You will feel the difference after one use .
No need to tell me, have 4 various sizes and brought my first pair around 40yrs back, only needed a scroll worm and moverable jaw for one pair when it seperated and I lost them down a drain. Dont use them everyday but did at one point.
