This is the set up of all wires at the moment with the blue and red loose.

N = blue,blue.
L = red,brown.
1 = yellow
2 = ?
3 = ?
4 = ?

it is a baxi boiler and fitted about 4 years ago on nu build.
I have a flashing battery at the moment and no heating and a fiancee going mad at me. please help!

Probably terminals 3 and 4 (the HW and CH ON). You need to see what system you have...probably Y plan (a mid position valve) and then check the wiring to correcly decide which colour/terminal combination.

Tend to find that when people use wiring like that they have the heating (terminal 4 ) red and use the blue for water (terminal 3)

Thanks for yr replys gents.

I tried red in 4 & blue in 3 but the battery is still flashing.
I've read the flashing battery mens theres no power.

anymore ideas fellas?

Not sure how to work out the answers to what you said gasguru sorry!
