Could someone give me some guidance here. We have recently had a leak from the mains supply (cold). This has been fixed. We did not notice any loss of pressure during this time.
However now the fault has been fixed we have noticed a drop in the temperature in the shower. The hot water itself is fine as all the other taps work well.
Could the slight increase in cold water pressure be affecting the amount of hot water able to flow through the shower head. We have a funny mixer tap with the left hand side controlling on/off and the right hand side controlling the temperature.
I imagine this type of tap has a valve on the inside that reduces or increases the cold/hot water flow based on the how far you turn the temp. tap?
Would it safe to assume that this slight increase in cold water pressure (if any) has impacted the settings in the mixer tap and is allowing too much cold water to enter the shower head??????
