Hi got a mk 6 golf tdi..the low pad wear sensor light is on the dashboard...had brakes checked...front pads, and rear pads all good ....brake fluid full...why isn't the light going off.. ? I had front pads changed last year...car brakes and stops as it should..any ideas? Ta

Check that the handbrake on switch is operating -pull and release the lever a few times.
I guess the brake lights are functioning - can you get someone to check?
John :)

Check one of the sensor wires isn't broken or unplugged. You'd like to think whoever checked the pads would have done so but who knows.

Ive never seen sensors on the rear pads.
John :)
Allow me to edit this one.....sensors on one side of the rear do exist, I’ve seen them on the R but never on the Mk 6 Golf.
If there is, the wire should be visible.
John :)
