After an ex wrecked an engine, driving the car with the oil pressure light on, I was told, the Oil Pressure warning isn't a sign of impending damage, its a sign of occurring damage. In my case she got about 3 miles from home before the engine gave up. New engine was required.
Ignore Sensor warnings at your peril, another instance, we had a Mercedes Atego, 7.5 tonner, Oil Sensor was saying level was fine, I think purely by chance the Fitter had it in the workshop, one of the wires had come off the sensor giving a false reading. Dashboard said oil level was on Max, there was barely anything in the sump, how it hadn't done any damage he didn't know.
My experience with Nissan hasn't been good, bought a Qashqai on recommendation, would never have another. Do your homework before buying anything.
