I want to carry out remedial work on a fully pumped heating and hot water system where the cylinder at the top of the house (3rd floor) has no existing cable linkage with the boiler in the basement.
The boiler is a Baxi Bahama (although a combi, it also heats the hot water cylinder as if a system boiler). The 2 motorised valves are Honeywell 2 ports and are currently wired up without micro switch function. The HW zone valve is currently next to cylinder but could be moved to boiler area.
The customer does not want the disruption and expense of running a new cable through 3 floors. One option would be to run cable(s) externally, although it would be simpler if ELV (e.g. 24 volts?) could be used so that bell wire or similar could be run either externally or internally. But how can this be integrated into S plan type control system?
