macerator outlet stopcock?

One for @just pumps I think.

Now that my bathroom refit is underway our ancient macerator downstairs is making some strained noises, so looking for a replacement in preparation for it failing.

I'm just wondering what the red thing is in the attached pic, is it a stop tap so piping can be removed without all the head of shi-water coming back down the 32mm pipe?
If so what is it called? I cannot find it on the Screwfix site?

Yes, you need isolating valves on the inlet and outlet of macerators i believe, to allow for servicing and maintenance.
Some makes dont honour warranty unless they are fitted.
32mm solvent weld ball valve would be what you need, or a compression alternative
