MagnaClean Installation

It needs to be on the return to the boiler - so that it is filtering water coming back from the rads. Putting it on the cylinder return is pointless.

You would be better off putting it on the flow after the pump and any feed/vent pipes, and before the two zone valves. But this is not ideal.

For the optimum level of system maintenance and ongoing protection, MagnaClean should be installed after the last radiator and before the boiler on the return pipework on the main central heating circuit.

However, on some central heating systems, this may not be possible due to accessibility. In these circumstances, MagnaClean offers flexibility and can be installed in accordance with the following guidelines:

• Combi or sealed system - MagnaClean can be fitted after the boiler on the flow before the radiators.

• Open vented system - MagnaClean can be installed before or after the pump and should be installed before the two or three port valves to ensure that the whole system is filtered.

MagnaClean should not be installed on or before the open vent pipe or cold feed as this contravenes Building Regulations.

Careful - you will fall fowl of the advertising rules - suggest you remove you details from the signature.

Nice to have another manufacturer taking part though.
