Looking at buying a magnaclense. Seem some second hand ones on ebay.

Question is will a brand new one be alot more effective than second hand. It is only for personal use to flush a microbore system once a year ?

I don't see why not. There's no moving parts, and AFAIK the magnet doesn't lose strength noticeably ove time.
