Magnetic Filter Spanner

I have a Center filter, but can't find the spanner, nor do they seem to supply the tool for separate purchase. Does anyone know how I can undo and open the filter without having to buy another filter kit ? Are there any universal spanners I can use ? Links would be appreciated.

Can you post a picture of the filter?
I'm assuming it's a central heating boiler filter?

That looks like it could do the job, although the sharp points may scratch the lid.
