Main eco elite system boiler - noise

Had this exact issue after a pump swap in my old place. Vibration kicked in the next day.

Turned out the new pump was running full blast while most of my radiator valves were barely open. The water had nowhere to go.

Your UPM3 has a button right on the front to change modes. If it sits on constant speed III, drop it down to II. See if the hum quiets down. Takes two minutes to test.

Keep bugging your plumber, too. He put it in, so he owns the noise. Send a text or email so you have proof in writing.

I'd leave that plug alone, as the pump's inside the boiler casing. It's pretty standard for the fitter to come back after a pump change, so get him back out to sort the noise. While he's there, I'd ask him why the old one failed. What does your pressure gauge read, cold and with the heating on? If it's been running low, air in the system can wreck a pump. If the cause isn't sorted, the new one could go the same way.

I think it was trapped air; the boiler seems to have fixed itself out and is okay for now! The plumber who replaced the pump never came out in the end; he was adamant it was not a pump issue... also, the pump installed cannot change modes as it's an automatic one :/ The boiler sends signals for the speed (apparently)!

Appreciate everyones replies!
