Main equipotential bonding

I can't see any evidence of main equipotential bonding to the water and gas pipes entering my house.

I have checked the resistance between the main earth terminal and the pipes and the resistance is less than one ohm, but i'm a little alarmed that i can't see the connections.

Could the resistance measurements be this low if there was no equipotential bonding?
 
A low reading can be possible via the cpcs of appliances connected to water and gas (boiler being the prime example).
Although not set in stone there is a rule of thumb suggesting that 0.05 Ω is a low enough resistance between the MET and extraneous conductive parts.
A 10mm² connection is required to ensure proper bonding, especially if you have a PME supply.
