Hi, I have put an offer (accepted) to a semi-detached house in Twickenham (London) area. The property has main door / entrance from the side and has a round (moon) glass fixed at the front.
I would like to move the House entry to Front. Will it be permissible the council? Given that neighbour would still has side entrance and Round glass at the front?
This house is the only property in the whole road with such design.

Please advise?

I don’t know, but I don’t see why not.
A house nearly opposite me (which happened to belong to my mat’s dad) was sold at probate and heavily done up.
The door was on the front, and they used permitted development to build a sticking out porch with the door on the side.
Although it’s not the same, it may help?

Unless the house is listed (v. unlikely) or permitted development rights have been removed (again unlikely), re-positioning the door from the side to the front would be permitted development, ie not requiring planning permission.

Thankyou so much for your reply, that's a relief. Plan is to side & rear extend and move the entry to the Front. search results have some back and the Permitted developments rights are Okay & the house is NOT listed. My doubt was just from the point that the immediate neighbour (the other half of semi-detached property) will still have SIDE entry & permission may not be granted on the basis of Front Look & Feel and also I have not come across a semi-detached property where one is Front Entry & the other is Side. I hope my doubt is unfounded & there are no such constraints.
