Hi, I don't know anything about plumbing or DIY so please bare with me as
I try to explain my problem. I have a Mainmet EMS metering system for
heating & hot water, one of those prepaid card ones. Every other month it
stops working and an error on the machine says "Unit Requires Commissioning".
And every time this happens I have to call up to have it repaired, which takes
a few days. The engineers that come to repair it advise us on what to do to
avoid it happening again, we follow this advise, it happens again and the
next engineer tells us something different.

Does anyone know what this problem is?
Any advice?

Thank you.

Is this unit not the responsibillity of your Landlord or Manging Agent?? sounds like you are part of a distrct heating scheme the Heat Meters are normally the responsibillity of the Facilites managing Agent

Yes you are correct. So is there nothing I can do except call for a repair
every other month?

Thanks for your reply.

Well yes, but at least it isn't costing you anything I should think your Managing Agent is getting p****d off with it though, and the good news is due to the faults they probably don't know how much to charge you for Heating & Hot Water I'd say RESULT!!!
