Hi All

I have personally preferred installing main's downlighters for my customers compared to low voltage lighting for various professional reasons ie ]
1. Maintenance
2. Fire risk of transformers
3. Reliability

I have just had a heated discussion with a colleague and placed a small wager of lunch for the winner with him. He prefer's the low voltage lighting.
I am willing to pay my bet if the first 10 reply's favour low voltage to mains with good honest answers. Remember my first 3 reason's before deciding.

Hi,

I would choose mains voltage in respect to your reasons and also stops the phone ringing with people saying my lights don't work which is normally due to a faulty transformer. And when you get there you chip the ceiling when you pull the downlight down.

still use low voltage in bathrooms though. but overall prefer Mains.
