Mains powered smoke detector

I have 3 firex mains powered (battery backed up) smoke detectors in my house all interconnected do 3 wires (live, neutral and the interconector)
I can no longer get the direct replacement for the firex unit and have been told I can use a aico Ei146RC to replace is this correct ?
