Hi

Has anyone had to request Thames Water to repair/maintain the main stop valve on the public footway outside of their property, (NOT a leak) if so, did Thames Water ever attend? How long was it from the time of reporting to them actually appearing? I have been told this kind of maintaince could take months. There are other issues way I need to have this valve repairing before I proceed with other work. I can not get on with it until its done. Can any one offer advice how to speed things up?

yes had this many times with essex & suffolk water customers needing work done and not been able to isolate mains due to hole full of clay or damaged liner pipe inside hole and they have come out within two days.
called them a night hours before due to burst pipes and unable to locate or access stopcock and have turned up within hour & half.
