Hi. How can I make this floor good.

Do I concrete on top or remove bricks and add joists?

Cheers

yeah, remove the lot. I had similar, had lots of woodworm around the old hearth, was bringing some damp in.

We concreted ours level. With the remainder of the floor being wood with insulation, the old chimney area is colder. May be worth digging out and adding some insulation too?

Yeah will remove concrete and add timber joists and floor. Dont want cold spots.

Edit. Just ripped the concrete off. Lots of rubble.

The joists are at the front of chimney.

What's best way going about it
