recently i've been having real problems with Magers caulk, it all cracks up everywhere after being painted, as if it hasnt had enough time to dry and has to be touched in 3 or 4 times wich is a real disastor on ceiling lines.
i think Manger must have updated their formula as never used to have this problem,

has any one else noticed this?

can anyone reccomend a good alternative to the mangers?

My experience of Mangers is that it's shyte.

I changed to Nicobond and never looked back.

Agree 100%,..its the old Letland on, worst stuff in the history of caulk, stiff, dry and hard to work..from what I can remember the dowl corning one isnt much better either.

In fact most of the Mnagers range is Micky mouse...cheap DIY tripe masquerading as trade quality material.

I always though Nicobond was an Irish secret agent....

Numerous threads on this one, general opinion is that caulking doesn't like waterbased paints - particularly if its a thick bead and hasn't dried out properly.

A quick run of undercoat over the caulk seems to be the general solution
