Hi All

I've just purchased a manrose Standard model 11097-0001 extractor fan, and i'm having a bit of trouble fitting it.

The instructions are not very clear. The fan itself only has two slots for wiring, however there is nothing to indicate where the live, and where the neutral wires go.

If it is a non-timed model then there will only be L + N. L will be the brown wire and N will be the blue. If they are not coloured then look for L+N embossed into the plastic moulding of the fan by the terminal block.

It's AC - pick either terminal and measure the potential difference to the other one and you'll find it goes from 0v to +325V to 0V to -325V and back to 0V 50 times a second.

Then pick the other terminal and measure, and you'll find the same.

It doesn't matter which way you connect it.
