Marble table repair

Hi,

Bought a marble table that in transit got damaged.(me )

It's two tone, cream middle and coloured border.

I thought marble was solid but the damaged colour is white underneath, anyway I can repair it?

Seen clear epoxy but that will leave white spots.

It looks as though it may be marble surfaced/finished.
Do you have the chipped pieces by any chance?
If not then I think Pat ex has a viable solution.

I'm sorry to say this, I'm afraid your table isn't marble
When you zoom in on your photo, you see the characteristic marks of a printed paper laminate top:

Here's my kitchen worktop for comparison:


It doesn't mean it's not going to last and look good, but if it was sold as marble...
...could just be the outer edge, and the middle is solid marble?

Don't buy little tubes, it's not cost effective, unless you only have a tiny bit to do.

They both do delivery.

Ask them what they advise. Also what type of paint can be used. I would guess acrylics from an Art shop.
You can get dye to make the base colour of the epoxy.
