I have bought marble tiles for both my downstairs concrete toilet & upstairs solid tongue & groove wooden floor.

My tiler says he'll lay stright on both without the use of any boarding, as its not needed & helps reduce the step up, is this ok ???

Also what floor adhesive should i use ? Hes just told me to buy some. Theres so many to choose from. Do i need the stone/marble powder ? Is pre-mixed better than powder? Is combined adhesive / grout ok ? Can i use the same on wood & concrete ?

Also with the marble tiles, do i just need to seal them ? Or then wax/polish them ?

please Help !

Many thanks, Pete.

For starters, read the sticky at the top of the tiling section, Second, get another tiler.
The tiler should be specifying the adhesive if he's not buying it, or when the tiles come loose, his reply will be "you supplied the adhesive". You've been warned.
