Depends how bad the paint is, and size of wall, You could possibly hire a wet/dry sandblasting unit as a last resort.

The area is approx 8' high by 12' long it looks like it has only had about 1 coat 2 at the most.
The people who lived here before us decided to build a dodgy leanto/conservatory and in there wisdom painted the inside wall which is actually the outside wall. I now want to knock the thing down but will be left with a painted outside wall the size of the conservatory.
