Masthead amp rip off - anything i can do ?

The amp is accessible in the house, garage or loft??

Would you call it a masthead amp if it were there?

Errrrr.... The last time I installed something called one of these:

strangely named a masthead amp, by Screwfix.

the splitter went on the pole and the PSU was behind the TV at ground floor level and it sent power up the co-ax.

It may have been a slip of the brain, but it must have been obvious I was
suggesting turning the PSU off.
