I have been painting a newly plastered ceiling, and so far have applied a mist cost and undiluted second coat of Johnstone's Jonmat Contract Matt. It is still a bit patchy so I am going to apply another coat. My question is, should I continue with the matt or switch to vinyl matt. What product is best to complete the ceiling ?

Thanks for the advise.

Stick with the cheap stuff. Ceiling don't take any hammer.

Thanks for the advise Joe. 10L of Johnstones Covaplus Vinyl Matt is only £2 more than the non-vinyl, and I have a 5 year old son who's boundarys don't always exclude the ceiling. Would the vinyl be a better choice or is the standard matt ok, and what would give the best finish ?

The cheap contact stuff is cheaper and has a flatter look to it. But to be quite honest - who looks at the ceiling?
