My Garage has a Tap fitted inside. There's an 25mm ( I think ) MDPE Pipe comes up through the floor that is then fitted to 22mm Copper and reduced to 15mm for the Tap. I want to take the tap outside through the wall . However, when I turn the stop cock off inside the house the Tap is not isolated so seems to be on another line separate from the House supply. When the water is turned of at the main supply down the driveway the Tap is then off. I've purchase a 25mm to 15mm stop tap to fit so that the supply can be isolated coming into the Garage. Thing is, I'm having a bit of doubt regarding the MDPE Pipe fitting. My initial plan was to cut the pipe and fit the stop tap ( I have plastic Pipe insert also ) but could anybody advise what kind of fitting that is already on the MDPE Pipe. Is it a compression ?. Will that come off and leave the existing pipe so that I can just fit the 25mm to 15mm Tap directly onto the pipe without cutting it ?
Any advice would be appreciated
