Megaflo, turn immersion on?

Hi,
I have a megaflo indirect tank 300i and a system boiler. The boiler has a fault and is awaiting a part. I thought the boiler had an immersion built in but water is cold. How do I turn the immersion on?

If it’s got one installed and wired up, usually via a switch in close proximity of the immersion (at the cylinder).

Not usually no. As per others, if you’re unsure post some photos of the cylinder and immersion arrangement

Hate it when threads never get finished so...thanks for the replies and you were all on the right lines. Turns out with some professional help that it wasn't actually wired up. There was a switch next to the tank with power, but no cable to the tank. There is now though. I realise my OP was wrong as well and I meant the Megaflo having an immersion.
