I dont know what your objective is but my immediate reaction is that you are being intentionally rather derogative towards heating engineers.

You heading and first line implies that a Megaflow installation has been quoted at £6k. That is just not true!

A cursory look at the detail shows its a new 35 kW Worcester boiler and conversion from a vented CH system to an unvented and a vented HW system to unvented. I hope the installer is qualified to fit these!

My ( free ) advice, before you start abusing me, is that a 150 li cylinder is likely to be far too small and the 35 kW boiler probably far too large.

I also wonder if the water flow into the property has been measured?

My reaction is that the price is not unreasonable ( although we would have quoted a very little less ) but the specification and knowledge of the installer is very questionable!

Smells high to me, but it depends how long some of those runs are.

He seems to be charging to install the boiler, then charging separately for pipes which connect to it!

Is it OK to say 'Golly' these days?

no problem with Golly

Two points to pick up on this topic
1. What did the other quotes come in at.
2. If any london installers on this site go and price it up i think it would be fair to say that a estimate of £5999.99 should win it.
