We are having a complete megaflow system installed but we're confused as to whether or not to put the boiler in the same outhouse as the tank.

The plumber is telling us it would be better but we're not sure - he says he can fit a weather thermostat to prevent it from getting too cold but we are very confused.

Any advice would be appreciated.

Modern boilers have frost protection built in and having the boiler close to the cylinder means shorter pipework.

As long as there is sufficient space for maintenance access to the boiler then it should be the best place.

well maybe confused is the wrong word - you get given so much info its hard to know what is for the best. Just needed impartial advice

Well a resounding yes to fitting it ll together outside.

It is safer, quicker, easier to maintain and will keep it all together outf your way...

Remember there are more good plumbers than bad out there despite what BG and the BBC would have you believe.

90% of every boiler I've fitted over the last 50 years has been in a remote boiler house.

An ideal situation having it all together in the same space.
