megane airbar and serv light stays on ?

hi folks new on here just a quickie i have a renault megane 1.4 sport 2000 [x reg] my problem is the airbar and serv light stays on i took it to a garage to have a dianostic check which he cleared all the codes but still they stay on i messed about under the seats still no joy there are so many wires under the seat does anyone know the coulor of the airbag light cheers oh 1 more thing there was a code fault on the driver side pr-tensiner which was cleared by the the machine hope someone helps

AFAIK it is the wires under the seat.

It is just a warning & you can drive with it on OK.
Have you tried the renaultforums? as they may be better to advise you.

With the Megane the wires getting disturbed under the seat is fairly common however as you say you've tried that. Its worth physically unplugging the connectors under the seat and reconnecting them though, you could also try www.meganeownersclub.co.uk if that doesn't cure it.

IIRC the old shape Megans have a habit of chewing the wires in the seat tilt mech, could be that!?

Yeah, passenger seat connector, Clio does the same, a quick jiggle under the passenger seat oooh, eeer, and all is well.
