Megger 1502 problems...

Hey people my megger 1502 has a problem when ir testing ,Its reading infinte 299 ohms wether its closed or open circuit .

ANY IDEAS???????????? :roll:

I don't understand. What's your definition of closed circuit, and why would you be IR testing that way anyway?
 
As others have said, check leads etc.
Also check the fuse, I think there is one in the battery compartment.
Failing that it needs a trip off to Megger.

Closed circuit will be with the test leads together. You should always check your tester this way to ensure that the instrument is reading. If you have a faulty lead or tester and you didn't check it how would you ever know you had a problem? All your EICs would look good but you could be putting a faulty circuit into service.

I realise this, but having been through the OP's post history I thought it best to clarify exactly what he meant!
