Messed up wiring double light switch!

I hold my hands up I made a school boy error changing my double light switch over, somewhere I've cocked up the wiring so the lights only work if the other double switch in the room is at certain positions and vice versa!

Being a chap I'm quite happy to have the lights working full stop however as you can imagine she who must be obeyed would prefer the mystery of switches solving... so far I tried some trial and error which hasn't got me very far, what's the right way to go about troubleshooting this

Pictures of the wiring at both switches or divorce.

Pictures or/and some details of what you have at the switches and what you have changed!
As the cables in a single sheath or are some grouped together in the same sheath.
Sheath=The grey pvc outer coating of cables, sometimes this is white or black.

Something like these maybe.
