hi I have metal corner tape on an external corner that has popped open, so I cut through it a couple of inches higher and as I have the skirting off at the moment pulled it off down to floor.

So I have nothing to approx 5' high then a neat cut from there up to the coving, so what's next to repair it ?

Thanks

Probably "popped open" because the metal has rusted and expanded.

You might be better removing the whole corner and doing it again with Pvc skim bead or angle bead - I dont know what your background is to give specific advice - or why metal tape was used?

There's moisture coming from somewhere - hence, the Pvc recommend. What is that recess, or what was it?

Stop the bead just above the skirting.
