Metal detecting anyone

Hi do you have permission of your own , your in a good part of the UK I would think

I do it now and then in S Derbyshire, NE Staffordshire and S Nottinghamshire. Found some really interesting items recently including a few Japanese coins from the late 19th Century, a few mint silver sixpences and a few lead seals from the mid-19th Century (used on sacks of seeds/grain).

Japanese coins seem very unusual not seen or heard of those ,some good places there .Not a great deal near me usual copper coins 1hammered which was great but to my surprise real surprise a Hadrian Roman coin and 4 days ago on some new land about 7 miles away near Clitheroe a Roman fibula but no other finds

Getting permissions really good but some parts don't want you on , near me . Not done beaches but one day

Do it all the time when not working. Woods, permissions on 2 areas of farmlands, 2 local beaches, river banks,,,, it's a great hobby!

Sure is darrington but this rain is killing it can't get on fields , crawling up the walls

Ahh, but Spring is on the way digger, chin up mate.
What metal detector do you use? Mine is a Minelab Safari, but I'm thinking of getting an Equinox 600, or the 800.

Do you all buy your gear or rent it ? I'd like to avoid buying equipment if I can. Never done it but always wanted to have a go...

Sorry. darrington sent you a reply you must not have got it , I use Nox 800 on pasture

Hi Hawk Eye 244 never heard of renting detectors etc most people buy at lower end to see if the hobby is for them .
