Hi there i have a metal fascia and soffit all the way round my house ...the paint is starting to flake i would like to put up PVC soffit and fascia ...can i attach to the new PVC fascia to existing metal if so how or will the metal need to be replaced with complete pvc boards

you can remove the metal if you want alternatively leave it on and clad over it with pvc. in situations like these i would fix wooden battens on first to carry the upvc soffit and then either screw the fascia to the metal and cover screw heads with caps or locate the rafters and nail the fascia on through the metal and into the rafter ends good luck!
