This is a base and stand for a Xmas tree. You can see where it has broken.

Any suggestions on how I can fix this please. The tree is quite heavy and hence the need for a strong join.

I’ve tried superglue and it didn’t hold.

Thanks in advance.

Forget about the Superglue here!
Consider having the threaded pole welded / brazed to the base (if steel, of course) or maybe a male threaded plug inserted from below?
You may, if you're luck is in find a brass plumbing part with the same thread.
John :)

You might find an expanding bolt could be made to fit. Coming a variety of sizes.

Thanks for the responses. I’ve taken it to a car mechanic and hoping he can weld it for me.
